What is SSMMS fabric?
The SSMMS Nonwoven fabric is referred for the short form of Spunbond*2 + Meltblown*2+ Spunbond. SSMMS is a kind of Nonwoven fabric that has five-layered 100% Polypropylene Nonwoven materials. This fabric is made of Spunbond and Meltblown Nonwoven materials. It gives this fabric significantly higher durability than SMS nonwoven fabric.
The fabric is 100 percent ecological friendly and environmentally friendly, and it feels breathable, comfy, and protective. SSMMS Nonwoven Fabric is widely used in the technical textiles, hygiene industry as well as other textile industries for a variety of purposes.
SSMMS Fabric materials
From the complete form [Spunbond + Spunbond + Meltblown + Meltblown + Spunbond] of the SSMMS fabric, it can easily understand that this fabric is made of Spunbond and Meltblown Nonwoven materials. The fabric is made in such a way that there are a total of 5 layers of fabric.
The first two layers of these five layers are spunbond, the middle two are made of Meltblown, and the last layer is made of spun-bond. The SSMMS fabric has the advantages of good strength, excellent filtration performance, no toxicity and no binder.
SSMMS Nonwoven fabric manufacturing Process
The SSMMS Non-woven fabric manufacturing process is almost the same as the manufacturing process of SMS fabric. The primary materials of the SSMMS fabric are Polypropylene nonwoven. Two Nonwoven fabrics, Spunbond Nonwoven and Meltblown Nonwoven are used to made SSMMS fabric. The step-by-step manufacturing process is here_
Step-01: In the first step, polypropylene granules are melted inside an extruder. This molten is extruded via a die, yielding continuous filaments, which are then air-dried.
Step 2: When they dry, they’re placed on a metal mesh conveyor to create a random nonwoven fabric layer. Elevated air causes the filaments to expand to much more delicate dimensions, producing thickening and better random laying.
Step-03: The Meltblown layers on the inside of the “sandwiches” are intricate webs of microfibers that help filter out many water-based contaminants and dry particles, giving the fabric its protective properties.
